Cathedral Window Folds

Friday, September 16, 2011 starting at 5:30 (refreshments included)

and Saturday, September 17th 1:00-3:00pm

Location: Mary's Scrapping Studio, Peterborough

Cost: $15.00 for the Friday class and $10.00 for the Saturday class

Maximum 8 participants per day.

At this class you will create a layout using the Cathedral Window Paper Folding Technique.

Templates of different sizes will be provided, and four sample layouts will be on display.

Paper and adhesive will be available for purchase.

Materials Needed:

• one or more photos
• paper to coordinate with your photos (double or single-sided)
• paper trimmer
• adhesive
• bone folder (I have one to share)
• Custom Cutting System mat, circle shapes and cutting blades (I have a set to share)
• 12"/30cm ruler

Paper and adhesive will be available for purchase.

Starburst Scrapbooking Workshop

STARBURST TECHNIQUE 

FRIDAY, APRIL 8TH at 5:30pm

(If you are unable to attend on this day but would like to take part in the lesson, please contact me for an alternate day and time.

I schedule Saturday or Sunday classes when there is an interest. 

At this lesson you will create a layout using the Starburst technique. Your focal picture will be shown to advantage in the centre of this unique display.

I have used a 5" x 7" photo for the attached layout, but the Starburst can also be made to fit a 4" x 6" photograph.

You may place two or more small Starbursts on the same page.

Several other designs using this technique will be on display.

Cost of class $15.00, with a light dinner included.

• one or more photographs
• paper to coordinate with  your photos (used 4 colours in the attached sample)
• brads (optional) (I used 8 brads)
• adhesive
• paper trimmer
• embellishments to accent your page

• cutting mat (I have one to share)

One sample layout is attached.

Additional layouts using other types of pennants will be on display at the workshops.

Each participant will receive templates for a variety of different sized pennants.

Materials needed for the workshop:

• any number of photographs
• paper and cardstock to compliment your photos
• adhesive
• paper trimmer
• scoring blade for trimmer or bone folder
• embroidery floss, hemp twine, string or other fibre to hang banner (optional)
• brads or embellishments (optional)
• scissors

Creative Doodling Scrapbooking Workshop

CREATIVE DOODLING

Friday, February 18^th 5:30pm

Saturday, February 19^th 1:00-3:00pm

Doodling is a popular way to accent layouts, and an easy way to add a handmade touch to your scrapbook page.

At this class you will use one or both of the Doodling Templates (see attcached photo) to create a one or two-page layout. The templates are Creative Memories’ Flowers and Swirls and are being offered at a reduced price to those who attend the workshop. (See note below.)

Materials needed:

- Photographs – any number on a single theme

- Paper/Cardstock to compliment your photo(s)

- 12” trimmer

- Adhesive

- Journaling Pens /Scrapbooking Markers

- Flowers and Swirls Doodling Templates

Cost of Workshop $10.00 (includes 18 pre-cut designer and tone-on-tone paper squares)

At this workshop participants will create a layout using pre-cut squares of Discover or Delight scrapbooking paper.

You will receive 18 double-sided squares - one side in the Discover design and the other side in the Delight design (see photos).

You may choose to do a single page layout or a two-page layout. I will have samples of both on display.

If you prefer to use paper other than that which I give you I can help you cut it to the correct size.

You will need:

• a minimum of 3 photos on a single theme to complete one page. The photos may be 4"x6" in size, but will be cut to 3"x 3" or smaller
• adhesive
• paper trimmer
• embellishments to coordinate with your photos and paper
• background paper or cardstock
• ruler

Let's CHALK IT UP on October 1 at 5:30, at Mary's Studio!

At this class you will be shown a variety of ways to use the new {Chalking Ink Pads.} They're Limited Edition! Create a layout using one of the techniques, such as antique/shabby chic flowers, chalking the edges of your photos/photo mats/pages to get that worn/grunge/antique look, and more. You will receive photos of sample layouts prior to the event.
